New book about the Miracle Windows
Every Window Tells a Story by Gerald Colson. It was during the singing of vespers on Tuesday, 29th December 1170 that Thomas Becket, the 38th Archbishop of Canterbury was murdered in his own Cathedral.
This volume brings together the stained glass windows of the late 12th and early 13th centuries in Canterbury Cathedral and translations of the medieval Latin accounts of the miraculous healing at St Thomas' tomb depicted in the famous windows recorded by two monks of Christ Church Priory, Benedict and William.
