This beautiful and unique design was recreated as part of the Becket 2020 celebrations, and is based on a the original 12th century vestments of Archbishop Hubert Walter.
 
2020 marks the 850 year anniversary of St Thomas Becket's martyrdom and the 800th anniversary of the consecration of his shrine.

The desert plate comes in a presentation box containing an information slip about the design. Hand decorated fine bine china.
